There's something to be said about being small and unassuming looking: it really surprises people when you turn out to have a fire underneath you.

Alta may not look it, but she embodies all that is Xaela. While she isn't some blood-starved loon always looking for the next fight, she will never step away from one should it start. She picked the style of fighting she wanted to learn very carefully: she has no skill with aether, so the magics were out; she prefers to be in the thick of a fight, so archery was out; yet she would still prefer to keep some distance between her and the thing that is bleeding, knocking out anything with a short weapon. Everything else out of the way, picking up the lance was the only logical choice.

With her love for the thrill of the fight comes a... well, a wit, to be sure. It's not exactly a biting one, and she certainly thinks she's funnier than she actually is. It's not rare to find her laughing at her own jokes while staring expectantly at whomever she's with. She enjoys flirting, too, so long as she's actually attracted to a person, unlike someone more shameless who will flirt with whatever pair of legs comes toward them.

Since the flight from Doma, she has been looking for any trace of her clan without any luck. Her loyalties to the rest of the Ugund are fierce, and without them, she has felt more than a little... lost.
